These are difficult projects. Typically the material used in this kind of custom ring is provided by the customer, and typically I have to see the piece and determine if it will work. Mechanical parts like large bearings (typically steel) are best, because they are solid metal and present the fewest limitations in machining. Thin, fuselage pieces (aluminum or titanium) are very very limiting

Since 2010, I’ve designed, crafted, and shipped every ring you see on my website. I am proud to be the original designer of the whiskey barrel ring, as well as the first to combine cobalt and wood, black zirconium and wood, as well as many other innovative materials. I also pioneered the use of durable epoxy resin, designed for boatbuilding, as a long-lasting finish.

While my designs have been widely imitated and mass-produced by others, I remain a one-man shop, dedicated to crafting each piece with care, quality, and originality. Every ring I make is a one-of-a-kind, sustainable work of art, created with my own two hands—one ring at a time.

Projects made with customer-provided materials typically requires a great deal of hand-machining. For this reason, solid metal rings of this nature start at $775, and increase in cost along with complexity and use of precious metals and custom inlays.

In order to produce a unified and cohesive appearance to a page that features a wide variety of projects I have produced at various points in time throughout the last 20 years, I have fed real images of real rings (which are in the listing pictures) to Gemini to produce many of the primary pictures in the above listings.
