It has been my practice, in my years selling rings made of bourbon barrel staves, to make the default option Jack Daniels® barrel oak. Indeed, before other sellers began...ah... practicing the sincerest form of flattery, this was the only option available, anywhere. Over the years customers have contacted me seeking a ring made with their favorite brand of whiskey, and they have even gone so far as to contact distilleries and source their own staves (something I invite you to do, if you want a completely personalized ring, or if you have some reason to doubt the provenance of my stock). They have always been very accommodating and enthusiastic. As a result, I have amassed barrel wood from many distilleries including Jack Daniels®, Woodford Reserve, Maker's Mark, Buffalo Trace, Jim Beam, Angel's Envy, Four Roses, The Macallan, Pappy (and Rip) Van Winkle, The Yamazaki, The Hakushu, and Hibiki. The inner portion of this ring is made of 14k yellow gold. I can also use Rose Gold, White Gold, or Platinum. 18k is also an option, and will be +$300 on top of the 14k price. Message for details.
Gold, while beautiful, has disadvantages when compared to modern jewelry materials like cobalt, zirconium, tungsten, and titanium.
Sizing
I highly recommend going to a jewelry counter to determine your size, even if you already know your size. "Do it yourself" ring sizing methods (string, etc.) should absolutely not be trusted. Be sure to be measured using the width you plan to order.
Comfort fit.
NOTE ON WIDTH:
The minimum width for this style of ring is 4mm. The maximum is 8mm.
Recommended width is calculated in this way: Size 5 is 5mm wide. Width increases .5mm per full size above that.
These rings will have a 1mm gold flank to either side of the wood.
So:
Size 5- 5mm - 3mm wood stripe
Size 7- 6mm - 4mm wood stripe
Size 9- 7mm - 5mm wood stripe
Size 10- 7.5mm - 5.5mm wood stripe
Size 11+- 8mm - 6mm wood stripe

Gold interior wood rings cannot be resized at all! Every ring is made to the exact size provided. An error in sizing will necessitate a completely new ring. THERE IS A 30% RESTOCKING FEE REQUIRED IF YOU NEED TO RETURN OR EXCHANGE THIS RING.

Each ring is given multiple coats of a hybrid epoxy finish, which is completely water-proof and soap proof. This protective coating is sanded up to 12,000 grit for an unbelievable, glass-like finish.
