This wooden ring has a 1mm offset turquoise inlay and a 3mm AZ Desert Ironwood Burl inlay.
This is a VERY nice, exhibition grade piece of desert ironwood burl for use in wooden rings. It has the depth and chatoyancy of a cat's eye gem. It is, of course, amazingly strong and heavy. I heard it is one of the hardest and densest woods in the world. Accustomed to working with Ebony, and Lignum Vitae, I expected to be unimpressed. Only upon getting some cutoffs and putting drill to it did I realize just how worthy of the name "ironwood" this material is. It is nearly 20% more dense than Gabon Ebony (1.2 specific gravity as opposed to 1.03- it will sink in water). It is one of the rarest (it grows only in the Sonoran Desert) and oldest species of wood that still lives.
You may, however, choose any wood you see in the shop for the 3mm inlay. Just include your choice along with your size in the "note to wedgewoodrings" section at checkout.
Because the stripe of wood is so narrow, only the highest quality, most figured material is selected.
The titanium liner is 6al-4v grade 5 titanium, preferred among jewelers.
Sizing
I highly recommend going to a jewelry counter to determine your size, even if you believe you already know your size. "Do it yourself" ring sizing methods (string, etc.) should absolutely not be trusted. Be sure to be measured using the width you plan to order.

Titanium lined wood rings cannot be resized at all! Every ring is made to the exact size provided. An error in sizing that exceeds the margin provided above will necessitate a completely new ring. Refunds and exchanges will not be possible.

Each ring is given multiple coats of a hybrid epoxy finish, which is completely water-proof and soap proof. This protective coating is sanded up to 12,000 grit for an unbelievable, glass-like finish.
